Do you have rides/activities at all locations?

Our Westford location is currently the only location with rides and activities.

What hours are the activities open?

Hours vary by activity. You can see all hours for the various activities at our Westford location here.

How much do the activities cost?

Prices vary by activity. You can see all activity pricing here, including our special “Give Me 3” and “Give Me 5” Activity Combo Passes.

Can Activity Combo Pass Wristbands be shared?

No, everyone must have their own bands or pay individually. Bands are non-transferrable.

Our group is buying multiple Activity Combo Passes – do we all have to do the same activities?

No – regardless of wristband/ticket type, you can choose your own activity.

Can Activity Combo Pass Wristbands be refunded and/or used across multiple days?

Wristbands must be used the day they are issued, no exceptions. And unfortunately we cannot issue refunds on unused activities. If you have to cut the fun short for some reason, please go to the Olde Sawmill Arcade and redeem the unused portion of your wristband for a $10 game card that can be used at a future date.

What are the age/height/weight requirements for the rides?

Rules for each activity are posted at the registers.

Bumper Boats: Must be at least 44″ to ride alone; taller than 40″ can ride with a guardian, less than 40″ is not able to ride at all; Maximum weight limit is 450 pounds.

Spin Zone Bumper Cars: Must be at least 44″ to ride alone; taller than 36″ can ride in a buddy seat with a guardian, less than 36″ or 3 years of age is not able to ride at all.

Soaring Eagle Zipline: Must be 42″ tall and under 350 pounds to ride alone or under 450 pounds with 2 riders.

What kinds of animals are at Kimball Farm?

Our Jaffrey, NH, Westford and Lancaster, MA locations do not have animals. Our Carlisle location has goats and chickens. In Westford, MA our partner, Animal Adventures, has a designated area with a wide variety of animals available to see and sometimes even interact with!

Can we pick fresh fruit at Kimball Farm?

None of our locations feature fruit-picking at this time.


Corporate & Private Events

Do you host children’s birthday parties?

At this time, we do not have a specific children’s birthday party package. We typically host Corporate and Private Events for groups of over 50 guests.

Are we allowed to bring outside food on the property?

Unfortunately, because of our food license, much like other restaurants we can’t have food consumed on premises that hasn’t been stored, prepared and served by Kimball Farm.

Can we request a specific tent?

Tent requests will be taken into consideration, however they are not guaranteed. We reserve the right to change tent locations as needed.

What happens if it rains?

Kimball Farm events take place rain or shine. Our tent area is very well sheltered; however, in the event of severe inclement weather during the time that your event takes place, we will do our best to ensure a successful, enjoyable event for you and your guests.

How long is the food and ice cream available for?

The grill is open for two hours from your serve time. The ice cream is open for approximately 4 hours.

Can we take food home?

Per Board of Health, we cannot allow you to take food from your event home. All grill food must stay in the Event area.

Can drink tokens be refunded after the event?

Unused drink tokens cannot be refunded after your event. We do ask that you return unused tokens as we re-use tokens for all events.

Can we bring additional guests and pay for them individually?

Head count must be confirmed two weeks prior to your event. If additional guests are necessary, please reach out to your Event Coordinator and we will try our best to accommodate any changes in head count.

Are dogs allowed in the private event area?

Although Kimball Farm is generally dog friendly, unfortunately dogs are not allowed in the private event area.

Food Allergies

Do you have gluten-free options at your Ice Cream Stands, Grill & Seafood Shacks and Country Store Cafes?

Yes! All of our departments are capable of accommodating gluten allergies. While not all items are gluten-free, please inquire on-site for the current list of gluten-free ice cream flavors and food options.

Do you have dairy-free or sugar-free ice cream?

Yes! We do offer a limited variety of dairy-free sorbet and sugar-free ice cream. Flavors change throughout the season, please call for availability.

How do you accommodate nut/other allergies at your Ice Cream Stands?

Please inform your server before ordering of any allergy concerns. Our Scoopers are trained to notify managers to assist in safely serving ice cream to our guests with food allergies.

General Questions

When do you open for the season?

Our Ice Cream stands open on a rolling basis beginning at the end of March. Our Grill & Seafood Shacks and the Activities in Westford open in April, weather permitting. We close for the season on/around Columbus Day in October. Check our Hours & Pricing page for up-to-date information!

Are you open when it rains?

For the most part – yes! For safety reasons, the Batting Cages cannot operate in the rain, but all other activities and food venues typically remain open. We would still recommend calling during a rainy day to get accurate hours and information!

Are you cash only?

No! We also accept all major credit cards in all departments.  Westford and Lancaster locations have an ATM located in the Country Store.

Where can gift cards be used?

All locations accept gift cards. Gift cards are NOT redeemable for Pony Rides or Animal Adventures; however, can be used to buy an Activity Combo Pass which can be redeemed at those activities.

Can we bring food from home?

Unfortunately, per the Board of Health, outside food is not permitted on the property. For food safety reasons, we are not allowed to have food consumed on premises that hasn’t been stored, prepared and served by Kimball Farm.

Are your restaurants full service?

No, they are counter service only.

What are the seating options?

Picnic tables are available on a first-come first-served basis and cannot be reserved ahead of time. Some locations have both indoor and outdoor seating available.

Do you have call-ahead ordering?

Our Lancaster and Jaffrey NH Grill & Seafood Shacks offer call-ahead ordering, but our Westford location does not.

Our Country Store Cafes in Westford and Lancaster take call-ahead orders.

No call-ahead is available for ice cream orders at any location, with the exception of custom or special orders of 3 hand-packed quarts or more.

Any food order from our Grills, Ice Cream Stands and Country Store Cafes may be taken to-go so you can enjoy them at home!

Is Kimball Farm dog friendly?

Yes, but per Board of Health they are not allowed in designated eating areas/tents, including our Private Event area, Grill and Country Store. Dogs may not always be allowed on Mini Golf courses at the discretion of management. Always leash your dog and clean up after them – Kimball Farm staff can supply dog bags if you need them!

Is there WiFi?

In our Westford and Lancaster Country Stores, Wifi is available. However, our Carlisle and Jaffrey locations do not have Wifi at this time.

Is smoking/vaping allowed?

Please remain in the parking lots for smoking/vaping as they are not allowed near designated food and activity areas.
